Hey All,

Sorry for the delay in getting this up today, but stuff around ol’ Fort Geek is nutz…yup that’s nutz with a z that’s how krazy it is around here…yup that’s crazy with a k, see where I’m going with this?

Anyhoodle, so there’s a new micro-story up today over on reluctant joy this one is themed like last weeks, so it’s another sort of wizardry themed story.  Yup that’s wizardry with a z, see where- oh no wait, never mind…okay moving on.

You can read that here:

Much like folding Tumble and Drift into Reluctant Joy, I’ll be folding Reluctant Joy into this website for a number of reasons, mostly having to do with streamlining my online presence as it grows.  Which sounds a bit contradictory but it’ll just be easier for me if I only have to update one website a week because of my schedule.  So in about a month this site will feature short fiction, essays, micro-stories, humor, rants and lots of other stuff as well as updates on what’s going on with me, my projects and my slowly receding hairline.

So will truly live up to the motto of “All the things you don’t care about in one convenient location” so that’s pretty good.

I’m working on a few things for the site and those are bigger posts that I’ll be able to finish once I’m done with the recording sessions for the audio version of my pulp novel The Geek which I’m recording now.  Well not now, now, but pretty much everyday for a March 28 release.

So according to Youtube and morons on twitter, Tumblr, instagram and facebook the flat earth theory is not only a thing, but a pretty popular thing so I’m writing a piece on that because while I enjoy stupidity and ignorance as much as the next red blooded American at some point you need to draw a line.

I’m also working on a bit of a long post, maybe a two part post about sobriety, the challenges, benefits and my recent trip to Las Vegas which was my first trip to Las Vegas since I’ve been sober.  I’m going to talk about how I handled it, how I stayed sober and some things I learned about what it means to be sober in a town designed to make you not sober.  It was a lot like a celibate working in a brothel I suppose, and I’ll post that when I have time.

Meaning there’ll probably be another micro-story next week on Reluctant Joy.

I joined instagram, but it wasn’t until after I joined that I realized you can only upload things from your cell phone or tablet, which is bull by the way, because I wanted to upload nice photos not my crappy cell phone photos so I won’t be using that.  Now I’ve just decided to see how many people will follow a guy on instagram with zero posts.  If I do end up posting on there I’ll let you know but my goal at this point will be to either never upload something there or upload the same picture every day for the hell of it and see what happens.

Against my better judgment I’ll probably join Tumblr because I’m an idiot and will let you know when that happens.

In the meantime there ain’t no reason why we can’t hang at the usual spots.

Follow me on twitter if you like stupidity in short, easily digestible bites and the occasional photo

How’s about some facebooking or some goodreading

My pulp novel The Geek is out and available on amazon in paperback and ebook.  While it is of course available as an ebook worldwide from like a gagillion sites (yes I realize that’s not a real number) we’ve been getting a lot of demand for paperback in the UK and Canada so The Geek is now available in the UK in paperback from amazon and should be available in Canada in paperback by early next week if not sooner.

Here’s the link to my author’s page on amazon

Oh and before I forget you can listen to the latest episode of Stuff n Stuff on podbean or iTunes.  In this current episode my bro-host Rob and I are talking about things that are mandatory in a good relationship yes that means we’re talking about oral sex.

Don’t look so surprised.  You people keep coming back here every week and you know by this point I’m basically an emotionally crippled man-child.

Okay I’m off to do random internetty things.  I hope you all have a great rest of the week and a super awesome weekend.

See you all next Wednesday.
