Speak freely and fight

Hey all,

So thanks for dropping by.  Again not much to report as I’m scrambling on finishing the audio version of The Geek.

If you haven’t picked up a copy, but like your books pulpy why not check out my goodreads page and see if it’s something you’d enjoy http://bit.ly/1XpMF4k

It’s available on amazon in paperback and of course ebook, there’s quite a few reviews there as well if you want to give it a gander http://amzn.to/1MwzPG6

If you live in L.A. and like supporting local, totally cool, independent bookstores it’s also available at Skylight books in Los Feliz at 1818 North Vermont.

Everybody there is pretty awesome and there are some nice places to chow down on Vermont as well so make an afternoon or evening of it.

And hey, tell them Jonathan sent you.

Actually don’t do that.  They have no idea who I am and they’ll just stare awkwardly at you.

Now on to the bee in my bonnet.  I’ve been a liberal for as long as I can remember.  But quite frankly both the far right and far left are completely out of control.  I’ve been noticing more and more that those whom I at one time considered co-patriots are getting more and more militant in their views and actions.

Mainly that they, and they alone can decide who should be allowed to speak their mind and what should and should not be allowed to be said at all.

Free speech is for everyone, not just for those who agree with you.  I don’t like a lot of the things that some right wing folks say, but I sure as hell won’t tell them they can’t say it.

You cannot eliminate free speech all you can do is drive it underground and that, is fucking dangerous.

So this week’s podcast is all about free speech and why the left needs to be less intolerant in their tolerance.

Link to podbean is here http://bit.ly/1KOLDsH

This is an incredibly important issue and we must all fight for the rights of those we disagree with to say the things we personally don’t believe in.

Okay thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone has a fun weekend.

See you all next week.
