Hey everybody and welcome back to the Mothership.
I know I haven’t posted in a while but that’s all going to change starting today. Things have been pretty crazy the last two months and sometimes things just slip away and get out of hand.
Nothing bad mind you, not really, just real world life stuff that needed to take precedence over everything else.
But there are good things happening and I’ll be posting regularly for the foreseeable future.
Some posts will simply be updates on what’s going on with my life, some will be screeds when I’m feeling ornery and of course the mix of micro-stories, short stories, hints of what I’m working on and some book previews as we get closer to launch.
I have formed a new media company called The Chapel Perilous and will be publishing and producing a number of things under that banner. The first project being launched is a brand new podcast, the premiere episode available right now on podbean and ITunes.
The Perilous Podcast is a bi-monthly, half-hour (roughly) podcast that will cover a single topic per episode. Well, that’s the goal, but since I have the attention span of a chimpanzee on cocaine, it will veer off here and there but will always come back around to the main topic.
The podcast will focus on all the things I love. Conspiracies, UFOs, Fringe Science, Religion, The Paranormal, High Strangeness, The Occult and all those delicious things that are cake for the brain. We’ll also be talking about more mainstream topics in the realms of Science and politics, but mainly it’ll be the other stuff I mentioned.
In the premiere episode (available now!) my co-host and I discuss the Trump/Putin connection and what that all means.
Speaking of which, I would like to take a moment to introduce my new co-host on this journey. Angie Carrier is a UX designer who also happens to have a passion for Magick, Conspiracies, UFOs and so on. We’ve already recorded a few shows and it’s been great.
She and I seem to fall on the opposite side of the fence for most things which always makes for an interesting conversation.
For the premiere and the second episode we are joined in studio by her boyfriend Silent Colin who really added a lot to the conversation.
If you’d like to learn a little more about Angie, and I don’t see why you wouldn’t, head on over to her website www.angiecarrier.com and hell, if you need a brilliant UX designer for a project you’d be hard pressed to find better.
I know what some of you are thinking. You’re thinking…”Hey what about the bro-host Rob Palmer?” Well Rob is and shall always remain the bro-host, but he’s doing his own stuff and for the Perilous Podcast I was looking for something a bit different.
However, Rob and I will continue to record and post episodes of the podcast formerly known as Stuff n Stuff, now called Screaming Into A Black Hole. These episodes have no schedule and will be posted directly to my website and possibly soundcloud.
And yes, they will still be juvenile discussions about random things the way only two fully grown man children can do. So basically sex, fart jokes, poop humor and general idiocy.
I will be concentrating on finally releasing the long overdue audio version of The Geek within the next month…I swear! Please stop emailing me, I’m trying I really am.
I will also be releasing a novella entitled The Eastern Road sometime this summer. I again engaged my friend PAU to do the cover art and it looks great, so that’s definitely coming.
I had been told that I must do a sequel to The Geek immediately and that sort of screwed up my production timeline. However, the sequel is a much more complicated story than the original and to rush it would be a mistake, so I’m back to the original release schedule.
My next full novel will be Blood Rebellious, a fun, sci-fi adventure. This will be followed by Night Mage, a modern day sword and sorcery novel. And THEN I’ll release Stillwater, the follow up to The Geek.
By that time I’ll probably just need a long vacation.
Anyhoodle, I hope everybody had a great week and has a really nice weekend.
Tomorrow my wonderful Aunt Mary turns 87 years old and we’ll be celebrating that with a nice family brunch followed by the traditional bare knuckle boxing tournament we do every year on her birthday.
You may think that’s inappropriate, but she’s 40 and 0 and still the reigning family champ.
That woman has a serious right cross.
See you all soon.
