From micro to macro.

Hey all,

So I wrote a series of micro stories last year that I ended up really liking.  I liked them so much I am currently turning those micro stories into a novella.

So for the next couple or so weeks I’ll be posting 3 times a week and give everyone a taste of what I’m working on.

Now, some of you may not know what a micro-story is.  Simply put it’s telling (or trying to tell) a story in about a paragraph and it’s a great writing exercise.  What I like to do however is see if I can write a story in a paragraph but do it in a series so that while one story can stand on it’s own, put together all the micro-stories in the series tell a larger tale.

The following series of micro-stories are being turned into a novella entitled “The Eastern Road” that will be out sometime in the next few month.  It will be the first thing published under my own banner The Chapel Perilous.

I will post them individually and then all of them together at the end to tell the larger story.

Anyhoodle, I do hope you guys and gals enjoy this sneak preview of some upcoming works.

Also, if you’re in the mood for a good conspiracy head on over to our podbean page or iTunes for the current episode of The Perilous Podcast where Angie and I are debating the classic Roswell Incident.

Okay all other links to my twitter, instagram etc are below the story.

The wooden gate creaked only slightly when he opened it.

The smell of the blossoms was both intoxicating and relaxing.

For the first time in a long time he felt safe.

With every step toward the door, the shadows of his past fell further behind him.

The singular lamppost, glowing a soft yellow in the moonlight welcomed him home.
