Well, I’m back at any rate. There is no we and I’m not going to start speaking in the Royal ‘We” since that’s just one step removed from talking about oneself in the third person, which I won’t do either.
What? You may be asking; has that got to do with anything.
Anyhoodle, I’ll be doing regular updates for a while as I continue to adjust to my new schedule, which to be honest has been a bit grueling but it needs to be done.
I fell very far behind in my already behind schedule so I can’t afford to continue doing that.
My new schedule has a couple of goals. The first being to hit my release dates for next year. The second is to get far enough ahead of the curve so that I can take a long overdue vacation. I haven’t been on a real vacation in going on four years and I am pooped.
While I’m not thrilled with the schedule I set for myself, it is proving productive.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday I’m up at 530am. I meditate, stretch and then guzzle tea while I write until about 1130am. Then it’s off to the gym for an hour or so. Then back home for a little lunch followed by more writing until about 7pm.
Tuesday and Thursday I’m up at 7am. Do the whole stretching meditating thing and then it’s straight into the recording studio to work on the audio book which is only about a year and a half behind schedule…crap!
Saturdays and Sundays I sleep in then just do a little work like writing blog posts, managing my social media and doing some video editing.
The goal of all this is as mentioned to hit my release dates, which are now set as follows:
January 2018 The Eastern Road. A post-apocalyptic novella about an old warrior on one last journey.
April/May 2018 Blood Rebellious. A sci-fi novel about a criminal family trying to save the galaxy.
January 2019 Night Mage. A modern day sword and sorcery adventure about a young woman discovering her destiny and true power.
April/May 2019 Stillwater. A somewhat sideways sequel to The Geek.
January 2020 A Nervous Breakdown. I assume that’s what will happen but more than likely I’ll just release another novel.
With all this in the mix I also have the podcast, various writing assignments for TV and film plus doing some video stuff for YouTube. So kind of busy, but it’s a great life and I have no complaints.
Speaking of YouTube we have begun airing video versions of The Perilous Podcast on The Perilous Podcast Channel on YouTube. They go up a week after the podcast airs. The link is below.
Okay so that’s what’s going on with me, I’ll be back Wednesday with a micro-story.
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
